Farm frolics and outdoorsy fun will be aplenty at The Capstone Festival 2014.

Get down to the Green Flag accredited country park on Sunday, 21 September, for a free family festival celebrating countryside experiences.Ranging from sheepdog herding displays to craft workshops, laser clay pigeon shooting and live country music – there will be lots of wholesome country fun to be had.Kite and bike displays have long been a key attraction at the annual festival, and there will also be bush crafts, dog agility and blacksmith demonstrations on offer.After all that, pick up some food and drink from the many refreshment stands, enjoy live country music and take in the surroundings of Capstone Farm Country Park.Gardening tips and camping and outdoor wear advice will also be on offer at information points.

Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community Services Cllr Howard Doe said: “The Capstone Festival is a celebration of the countryside and as we have so many great parks and green spaces here, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities in Medway.

“This free festival has something for the whole family to enjoy.”

The event runs from 11am to 4pm and free parking is available via the Ski Centre entrance to the country park.
