A warm welcome at the King’s School Rochester

I have enjoyed a great day with the staff and pupils of the King’s School in Rochester today.

The visit was the last in my tour of Medway Schools to present them with their copy of the history of the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, “Unconquered”.

On hand to give a presentation of the Lieutenancy and to answer questions was my friend Russell Race the Medway Deputy Lieutenant.

We had the pleasure of joining sixth form pupils at their history lesson and pictured above with them after the presentation.

After the presentation and talking with the pupils we joined them and the Principal for lunch.

After lunch I visited the Combined Cadet Force under the command of Major Short RE and was able to join the cadets in each of their regular Friday groups :

Army, Navy and Airforce.

I am pictured below with some of the Naval cadets honing up on their chart and navigation skills.

A wonderfully warm welcome, a big thank you to the Principal Mr Jeremy Walker, staff and pupils.

I look forward to returning.
