A fantastic display of GCSE Artwork from Pupils at the Rowans Pupil Referral Unit

I had the honour of being invited to a private viewing of the GCSE Art work by pupils from The Rowans Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) at the Sun Pier House Tea Room and Centre this evening.

I was impressed with the talent of the pupils who were all so obviously proud of their work and eager to show me how they completed their paintings and prints.

I am pictured above with one of the pupils Katelin and her portrait.

Below with Jack who used a mixture of photography , sculpture and art to deliver his work.

On hand too was Lucy with her paintings based on her pet dogs

I reported in an earlier blog post that the Rowans PRU had recently received an Outstanding Ofsted report and it was great to catch up with the Head and Deputy Head to chat about the fantastic work that they and their professionals carry out with our young Medway pupils at the PRU.

And finally, it was time for a group shot to round off the evening.

DSC_0020A big thank you to the pupils and staff at The Rowans PRU and of course to the brilliant staff at the Sun Pier Centre Tea Rooms who are always ready to welcome you for a drink or light meal, all to be enjoyed whilst taking in the fantastic views along the River Medway.
