Medway Schools compete in the Annual Consumer Challenge Quiz

It was back to the Hundred of Hoo Academy for the Annual Medway Consumer Challenge Quiz which is run by Medway Trading Standards to help educate, inform and entertain our Medway pupils on safety and consumer protection issues.

The Schools taking part this year were :”

Hundred of Hoo

Hoo St Weburgh

Inspire

Bradfields Academy

and Rivermead.

Joined by my colleague Councillor Peter Hicks we opened the proceedings along with the Assistant Director Andy McGrath.

Questions covered: Who can help?, Streetwise Shopper, Food Matters, Travelling Safely, Colours, Healthy Living and Labels, Signs & Symbols.

All of the pupils entered into it with a keen and inquisitive frame of mind and thorough enjoyed themselves.

As I told them at the end, they were all winners and they were all presented with as trophy, certificate and prizes kindly donated by local firms and organisations.

There had to be one winner of the winners and that was the Hundred of Hoo Academy and they were presented with their trophy by one of the sponsors that attended and who sponsored the event, Kent Trade Frames. (Pictured below)
