Medway’s future is bright!

Don’t take just my word for it; On a visit to St Mary’s Island CofE Primary School yesterday to attend the Christmas Assembly, the fantastic Head Teacher Christine Easton proudly showed me a card that the children had made to present to the new Education Minister when she visited the school recently.

The children had been asked to fill in balloons on a card with what they thought of the school and this one took my eye as it epitomises everything about our fantastic young people here in Medway.

It is written by a year 6 pupil and is photographed above.

It reads: The children here are not made to be brilliant , we choose to be!

Well done Danny.

We enjoyed a lovely carol concert with all of the school participating in singing, reading and clarinet playing.

A fantastic day, it was a wonderful opportunity for me to thank the staff, the packed hall of parents, grandparents, carers and friends who had turned up to support , and of course the children.
