I accept a cooking challenge from the Woodlands Youth Centre

When I met a certain Connor Mackay from the Woodlands Youth Centre a few weeks ago at the Spirit of Try Angle Awards Connor challenged me to join him in preparing a meal for some thirty retired folk from Age UK in Gillingham.

Not being able to resist a challenge I duly presented myself to the kitchen last Wednesday and had a really super evening preparing turkey, fish and vegetarian dishes.

Pictured above tired but happy after the cooking and below , ready for the rush!

Congratulations to the all of the young people at Woodlands Youth Centre (who never cease to amaze me) and also Calvin from Mid Kent College Catering who supplied the expertise and professional guidance along with the centre manager Sharon McCauley.
