A Wonderful Christingle Service at St Margaret’s Church in Rainham today

It was great to see a packed Congregation at St Margaret’s Church in Rainham Central this morning for the Annual Christingle Service led by the Reverend Judy Henning and Melanie Simms.

As usual, the Choir were in fine form and there was a lot of fun with uplifting hymns and prayers.

It was a pleasure to see so many young people there to participate in the service and to receive their decorated oranges which symbolise everything that Christingle stands for. It was a wonderful moment when, after all the congregation had received their gifts and candles lit, the Church lights were switched off to reveal the glow of the candles.

Sheila and I are pictured above with our Christingle gift. More photographs taken by Tony can be seen on the Church website by clicking on the link
