Carol Stewart, Chairperson of the association said, “we were very impressed by the high calibre of the achievements the young people made. These awards are special because we recognise and appreciate the need to give young Black people a positive sense of encouragement, and access to positive role models who are going to help nurture their talent.  We are pleased to have some excellent role models and supporters presenting the awards this year, as this means so much to the young people “

“Sometimes it’s difficult to understand all the amazing things that have happened and are happening for us over the past 12 months but it reinforces the fact that hard work and self-belief eventually always pays off, we want to make sure all the people we connect with especially young people understand and believe this for themselves.”
