A Super Community Cleanup with the Derwent Way PACT today

Derwent Way PACT

I joined members of the Derwent Way PACT (Partners and Community Together) along with Medway Community Officer Zehra Mustafa this morning for a planned Community Cleanup  in the Derwent Way area.

We tackled the alley way that runs from Bendon Way, and from Cherition Road to Maidstone Road and collected many bags of rubbish, old tyres and various other material.

This is one of a regular clean up’s planned for the next few months by the PACT members.

It was really encouraging to be joined this morning by members of the local community.

The next meeting of the Derwent Way PACT which meets regularly and is supported by, Rainham School for Girls who provide the facilities for the meetings is in December and full details will be available later and on the Derwent Way PACT notice board in Derwent Way.

The Howard School also support and attend these meetings as do Medway Police and Medway Council officers.

My thanks to all who attended the clean up this morning.
