A Breakfast meeting with the School Council of St John Fisher Catholic School

It was an early morning start today with an 8am School Council meeting at the St John Fisher Catholic School in Chatham.

I was joined there by Deputy Lieutenant of Kent Russell Race DL JP with the prime aim of presenting the school with a copy of the History of the Lord Lieutenant of Kent’s Book by David McDine “Unconquered”.

Greeted by the Head Teacher Mrs Catherine Burnett we joined the School Council for muffins and orange juice.

Russell very kindly gave a potted history of the Lieutenancy and then answered questions from the pupils.

It was great to see so many of our Medway Youth Parliament on the School Council.

The photograph above shows us presenting the book to the Head Boy and Head Girl and below Russell very kindly signing the book which will now be prominently displayed, and used, in the School Library.
