A Super Saturday in Rainham Central and Medway

Wow, what a fantastic day in Rainham Central today.

First stop this morning was off to the St Margaret’s Mens Breakfast Club at the Millennium Hall where Rehman Chishti MP was invited to address the audience after Breakfast. Reh told them about his journey into Parliament from his selection to becoming one of the most hard working Members of Parliament.

Photograph above shows Rehman Chishti MP addressing the audience and answering many and varied questions.

At the same time as the Breakfast we were holding our regular Parliamentary Street Stall in the shopping centre and it was good to meet so many positive and supportive people.

After this we hit the road knocking on doors and speaking to people and what a delight that was in Rainham Central.

Then it was off to the Wigmore Evangelical Free Church to join them in their Community Day with a Hog Roast and a fascinating debate with a Year 7 Student on Europe and other Political matters. That Year 7 Student was the son of the the Reverend Tim and Susan Wood.

Thank you to all of the congregation who made us so welcome.

Then it was off to the Medway Netball Association at Rainham School for Tea and Cake and once again it was wonderful to meet so many old friends at this gathering as well as watching some exciting netball.

Finally it was down to the Medway River Festival which was in full swing along the River Bank and many thousands of folk attended.

Yet another FREE Festival for the people of Medway.
