Medway’s Greenacre Academy Rated GOOD by Ofsted

Greenacre Academy Rated Good by OFSTED

We are proud to announce that Greenacre Academy has been rated Good by OFSTED in all areas. Following our strong results in the summer examinations, students, staff and governors were pleased to be recognised for their continual dedication and effort across the whole Academy.

Some highlighted comments from the report:

Students in the academy make good progress at all key stages, from lower than average starting points, and achieve well.

Most groups of students achieve well, especially those who need extra help to catch up. Gaps in attainment between different groups of students are either small or have closed completely.

Leadership of the academy is strong. The head teacher, together with senior leaders, governors and staff, is ambitious for students’ success and has worked hard to raise standards by improving the quality of teaching. As a result, achievement is improving rapidly and students are well prepared for the next stage of their lives.

Deputy Head Teacher, Kerri McArdle, said “This is a fantastic recognition of the commitment to learning by everyone in the Academy. I am very proud of our students and their achievements and the high quality lessons teachers plan every day.

Cllr Mike O’Brien, Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services: “We are proud to have schools such as Greenacre who can get the very best outcome for their students. I congratulate the pupils, staff and governors on this wonderful achievement.”
