A great visit to Saxon Way Primary School and Children’s Centre today

I had a great visit to Saxon Way Primary School and Children’s Centre today when I revisited them after transferring to an Academy with the Griffin Schools Trust.

The Griffin Schools Trust is a family of primary and secondary schools in the Midlands and the South East of England. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for all students, whatever their starting points, backgrounds and needs. Trust Heads lead communities focused on finding and nurturing talents so that children enjoy personal fulfillment as well as achieving their best in classroom. Trust schools educate world citizens, preparing them to make a difference wherever their futures may take them and offer staff a wide stage to use their talents and grow their careers across and beyond GST.(Taken from their website)

After meeting with the Chief Executive of the Trust Liz Lewis and a Trustee of the Trust Jennie Taylor, I was taken on a tour of the School by the newly appointed Head Teacher Janey Denton and visited all of the classrooms, talking to both teaching staff and pupils.

I also met with the manager and staff of the Children’s Centre.

I could see at first hand the tremendous improvements already made Janey , improvements already appreciated by the pupils and staff alike.

I look forward to visiting the school again in the future.

I am photographed above with Liz , Jennie and Janey.
