Mike meets Medway’s Childminders

An excellent morning yesterday at the Compass Centre where Medway’s Trading Standards and Environmental Team met with Medway’s childminders for a training session bringing childminders up to date with current regulations.

Almost 80 childminders attended and were shown examples of good and bad practice in an excellent presentation on food hygiene.

On hand were officers from all departments, including our Community Officers to answer questions, provide advice and generally ensure that the seminar was both informative and entertaining.

The opportunity was also taken to spread the message about the dangers of using Illegal Loan Sharks.

Photograph above shows me with one of the groups attending the presentation on food hygiene.

Thank you to all of the childminders who attended, they were certainly a positive and enthusiastic group of Medway folk.

And a big thank you to Medway Trading Standards, Environment and Community Officers for providing such an entertaining and enthusiastic training session.

The photograph below shows how a pushchair, purchased recently from a local boot fair was so dangerous to use.
