Medway CSP working to maintain Medway as a Safe, Clean and Green place in which to live, work and play.

The Medway Community Safety Partnership was formed in 1998 in response to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998  which places a duty on the council, the police and other public agencies to form a crime and disorder partnership.

As Chair of the Medway Community Safety Partnership I take great pride in what the Partnership has achieved over the last twelve months to keep Medway a Safe, Clean and Green place in which to live, work and play.

These are the 7 identified priorities for the Community Safety Partnership in 2012/13.

  1. Tackling substance and alcohol abuse.
  2. Improving the local street scene.
  3. Reducing re-offending.
  4. Dealing with Anti Social Behaviour and managing risk of harm to victims.
  5. Tackling domestic abuse.
  6. Reducing crime and disorder associated with the night-time economy; theft and shoplifting.
  7. Reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured in Road Traffic Collisions.
